Italian Tarantella Dance is track made in the manner of traditional Italian dance Tarantella Napoletana featuring mandolin, accordion, clarinet, acoustic guitar, bass and tambourine. Perfect for TV ads, commercials and Italian related projects.
It is a remarkably interesting story about the origin of the Tarantella dance name. Namely, it is associated with hysterical dance form connected with the disease myth “tarantism”, which appeared in Italy between the 15th and 17th centuries related with bite of the tarantula spider. Rhythmic music and manic dance were used to overcome the illness of spider bites.
Today’s Italian Tarantella dance is nothing about that but remains dance in fast 6/8 time and characterized by quick steps and flirting between dancers. It is usually danced by one or two couples.
